These cages allow the gathering and alalysis of the animals urine and excrements. For the analysis of urine only suffices a Diuresis cage, otherwise should be used a Metabolic cage. Metabolic cages are indispensable for special analysis. The point is to gather and to separate the urine and the excrements as simple as possible.

 

 

Material

All plastic components of the Diuresis and Metabolic cages are made of Polycarbonate, all metal components are made of stainless steel.

 

 

Metabolic cages

Metabolic cages separate excrements and urine. In order not to adulterate the experiment data, the matching of the individual animal size and the cage size is indispensable.

 

 

Types and Racks

Metabolic and Diuresis cage are available for different animals such as mice, rats, rabbits and marmosets. These cages can be placed in a single cage stand. For larger applications, Tecniplast has developed a special mobile rack for 12 cages.

 

Unique is the rack, in which the urine is refrigerated after it is gathered. This allows a separate gathering of different, during the day collected urine samples.
