ABEDD® Bedding

Highly absorbent animal bedding consisting of small chipped pieces of Aspen wood (Populus Tremula). Chips are dried at high temperatures and are virtually dust-free.

 

Raw Materials

Aspen wood is used in the entire product range, proven to be the perfect choice for animal bedding. It is only used fresh, healthy and debarked wood from pollution free forests. The Aspen is a deciduous tree, therefore it has few contaminants and does not influence the enzyme status of animals. Additionally, the Aspen is a soft wood  containing no resin. Thus the wood has a low specific mass and has a high absorbency capacity.

 

Product details

• Dimensions: Wood chips roughly 5 x 5 x 1 mm in size
• Occupational stimuli, especially for rodents
• 4 stage repeated dust removal, process ensures a dustfree animal bedding
• Sanitized at 120-130°C for a minimum of one hour to maximize bacterial load reduction
• Excellent absorbency: wood chips have a very high absorbency capacity thus living areas remain drier and cleaner
• Natural odour control: vastly improves the living environment of animals and the surrounding room environment
• Easy to handle and estimate required amounts. Furthermore the product remain unaltered up to temperatures of 120°C and no clumping occurs.
• Continuous observation and frequent quality control testing ensure a product of constant high standard.

 

Quality control

All products are supplied with Production Identification Numbers and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) regulate the production standards and parameters. To maintain the highest possible product standards, samples are regularly sent to independently registered laboratories for microbiological, toxicological screening and documentation.

Supply chain quality control / Management

The quality of this product is monitored and tracked at the various stages of production from the forest to the client. These stages include: Control measures upon receipt of the timber, of the debarked wood, before packing, upon dispatching of finished product.

 

Packaging

• Woven Polypropylene bags/sacks 
• Bags are individually tagged with Production Identification Number 
• Bags of 15 kg (other packaging available on request)
• Available as set of 24 bags of 15 kg on pallets, wrapped with stretch foil

 Optional features

• Gamma-irradiated, securely packed (two or three layers of foil)

• Quality report available for each production batch

• Other forms of packaging are available on request
