Decontamination Lock

The IWT decontamination lock is designed to provide a validated, turnkey, proven package for decontamination purposes of large equipment and / or sensitive equipment (e.g. electronic circuits) to be introduced at first instance into a facility (as a part of the reception area for new goods and material) or to be routinely processed through a permanent barrier (e.g. SPF barrier facility) located next to an autoclave or through a corridor.

 

Our lock, entirely constructed of high stainless steel , is designed to be integrated with a hydrogen peroxide vapour generator for sterilisation purposes but can also be used for fogging the load with disinfectant in liquid or powder form. The solution is automatically dispensed in an intermediate vessel and then pressurised and atomised in the chamber as fine mist.

 

The IWT decontamination lock consists of a large pass-through chamber, interlocking doors, PLC control, disinfectant reservoir-dosing system (option) and all the components for software and hardware integration with a suitable Vapour Hydrogen Peroxide generator. The fogging option, when selected, consists of an automated and controlled dosing system for disinfectant and water which are then mixed and delivered into a single charge dispensing vessel. Upon activation of the chemical, the solution is pressurised by means of compressed air and finally nebulised through four atomisers in order to saturate the chamber with fine suspended particles of the disinfectant solution.
